Naturally Hand-Dyed Silk Scarf

These plant-dyed silk scarves are the result of a heartfelt collaboration with my dear friend and gifted acupuncturist, Andrea Penagos, based in Victoria Island.

Our process was inspired by a series of thoughtful conversations, reflecting on our shared collective ancestors and the stories they carry. Together, we explored how the colors could embody both strength and softness—qualities that connect us all.

Each scarf is hand-dyed with intention, using nature’s palette: cochineal, marigold, madder root, indigo, onion skins, roses, blue butterfly pea, and turmeric. The result is a wearable expression of heritage, resilience, and the beauty of the natural world.
